The Wonderment of Wednesday

Oh the wonderment that is Wednesday, we have so much too look forward to on this day. We’re half way through the week, we get to say “hump” (jk, I actually hate that word), Modern Family is on TV, and last but not least…..IT’S WIAW TIME!

But first, here’s something to wonder about.
From my Daily Quotation Calendar (Sarah, I know you love these quotations!).

What you think about when you have nothing to do reveals what is important to you.”

I don’t remember the last time I had nothing to do, haha. Actually, yes…when we were on vacation we had nothing to really do. What did I think about then? I thought about relaxing, connecting with my husband, and soaking up some sunshine. So I guess what is important to me is BALANCE. Hmmm….I could go much deeper, but I won’t. Your turn to wonder!!

Now I am wondering about food…lets get to that.

Breakfast-
Chia pudding with dried mango and orange peel. Then I dressed it up a bit with some brown rice crispies and GF granola clusters..

Lunch
Can you even tell what this is? I’ll give a hint. There is ketchup and chicken sausage involved! Winking smile

Then I tried something new. The verdict?…..”meh.”
milk
Not good, but not too too bad. At least I have it a whirl. Anyone else tried it?
I think I’ll stick to my first love!

Because its never to late for breakfast. GF bagels, eggs, fruit Salad.

We enjoyed a little NEW ZEALAND celebration as well since the hubs got a new sponsor.
Definitely an answered prayer!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Now I could go on with a What I Worked Wednesday, but sometimes I feel like its too much in one post. Or maybe its just me being lazy. haha. What do you think, too much food overload? Or is there still room for a workout in the wonderment that is Wednesday?

Cheers,
LC

YAY that the hubs got a new sponsor!! That is excellent news! I'm so glad you celebrated with some vino - looks divine! As for your question? I love seeing what you ate for the day AND what you worked...but maybe I just like to hear lots and lots from you, who knows. ;-)

I've never been a fan of Muscle Milk. When I worked as a personal trainer right after college, we were supposed to promote the crap out of that stuff, but I just couldn't in good conscience do it. Bleh! Guess that's part of why I'm not a trainer anymore ;)

I LOVE Modern Family! Cracks me up every single episode!

And your eggs look so perfect! How do you do that??

Food overload?! NO SUCH THING!!!!!!!! :-D

Congrats on the new sponsor!!!!! What a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Meh, workout. I am personally doing curls - the "almond butter covered banana to the mouth" kind of curl ;-)

congratulations on new sponsorship! :D

Modern Family is one of the few shows Jason and I look forward to. always hilarious. also hilarious? I said the word 'hump' to a stranger yesterday! Basil and I were out on the trail, we ran into another dachshund, who was Very Smitten with Basil. I got to talking to the man with the doxie, who was saying his dog is very friendly "if I knew what he means" and I told him while Basil isn't so much that kind of "friendly" my mom's twin doxie boys are, humping all the time. I think that was like, the fifth time total I've ever said that word?? umm. ;)

and YES, always room for a workout!

lindsay cotter said...

haha, good to know. I will inlcude them next time. and i think you work off your
meals with all that running!

Yay for James getting a new sponsor! Wonderful news. I always love seeing your eats. I get good ideas from you. :) I love what you said at the beginning of the post. I had some relaxing time at the lakehouse over Easter and I just focused on God, prayer, nature, and my family! It was wonderful. Thanks for reaching out today! I got home about an hour ago and Billy and I are just watching the Mavs...I need to hit the hay. :) xo

I love dried mango. Seriously, I can't buy it because I'll just want to sit down and eat it all. That and dried pineapple. And I've recently discovered dates.

As for what I think about when I'm not doing anything? That's something to think about... ha.

Chuck said...

Thats a great quote there at the beginning-- I really like that. All to often for me that empty thought time turns to food and it becomes and addiction. Maybe I just need to think of other things first and just let myself relax and be free.

Who did James get for the new sponsor?!

Sara @ Nourish and Flourish said...

Horray! Congrats to the Hubs for getting a new sponsor!

I just added that quote to the book! Love it. When I have "nothing" to do, I usually think about what I COULD or SHOULD be doing. I'm going to work on relaxing and enjoying those peaceful moments from here on out, rather than rushing to fill the quiet time.

I'm trying to figure out what the white sauce is in your lunch! I think you've stumped me, unless it's cottage cheese?

I enjoy WIAW solo or combined with WIWW! :-)

Kath (My Funny Little Life) said...

Protein water from Muscle Milk? :O That really sounds a little weird! :D I love the quote. And the Sav blanc. ;)

Yum! (To the food, not the protein water). The only protein water I've ever tried was Accelerade because they sponsored a race I ran a few years back. It was a good 90+ degrees out that day and I was probably the thirstiest I've ever been in my life...still hated the taste of the stuff! Hah.

I say add the workouts! I don't mind a ton of pictures, it's text overload that puts me off, but you don't have that problem!:)

That is such an insightful post! I have to say I am so enjoying the time I am getting to spend with my husband as he finished grad school and is applying to jobs. A small silly part of me doesn't want him to get one! But of course I know better!

Your eats look yummy especially breakfast, I just started using chia and need to try a chia pudding :)

Congrats to you both on the new sponsorship that is so exciting and well deserved! :)

I think you should post whatever you like. If you feel that it is too long than there's nothing wrong with switching one subject to another day even if it doesn't start with a W :) I hope you have a great wednesday!
