So back to today….we just walked in the door from a weekend away. You see, we decided at 4pm on Friday that we needed to get away. Just for a few nights. We needed to not worry about a structured work/training weekend and instead relax and soak up some D’s (downtime and vitamin D-also known as sunshine). Little did I know that we’d end up enjoying more D’s than planned!
Friday we hit the road for the BIG D (and yes I do mean Dallas).
We may have had a double dose of these each day….
.
(yes I know, two very expensive habits but we decided to let that slide this weekend)
The hubs couldn't pass up a DOUBLE visit to here…..
There was some Vitamin D we just had to soak up…..
And did I mention the Ducks?
Oh ya, they were in my parents pool. Too cute!
But lets not forget the highlight……
the hubs and I got to stalk her at work…hehe
Then today I forced her to WHOLE FOODS in order to complete my “D” dosage.
Sometimes we just need to get away to re-energize. And that we did!
My high dosage “D” weekend left me feeling restored. Minus the drive home, haha.

Too much red wine was my high dosage of something this weekend! HA! Hot yoga is calling my name tomorrow AM. It is time to sweat it all out. The sunny weather in Dallas looks amazing. I am not getting enough Vitamin D here in NJ. The sun refuses to stay out for long periods of time. :(

aaahhh.... so nice to get away! looks like a perfect weekend. we have ducks land in our pool, too, and I LOVE it when they do. we have a "duckouple" on our property - a mallard and his lady - and they fly up to our deck and dip sometimes... :)
I got a doseage of Candy Land, Sorry!, Silly Sentences, and Hi Ho Cherry-O! Weee!!!

What a D-lightful weekend (haha sorry)! We used to have ducks in our pool too- IN PALM SPRINGS?!!!! What?!! Yes, got a ton of vit D- walked all my errands the last two days and it was glorious! Plus let's not forget the Vitamin D in all of the greek yogurt consumed! :-)
And re. the bike shop: You can take the boy off the bike, but...
I live for those weekend day trips! Too fun!

Hmm high dose of drama.. I'm home alone with my 5 kids while hubs is away in Boston.
Sounds like a great weekend, and I would love to have that big of a kombucha selection!!!
I did a lot of work this weekend, but I wouldn't say it was too high of a dosage :) I guess I didn't get too much of any one thing...but it did snow today, and snow in April in any amount is too much!
I like weekend re-caps---it's like giving them credit for happening (especially on monday morning when you feel like the weekend flew by!).
Sounds like a fun, relaxing weekend, and those ducklings are adorable! My weekend was full of relaxing and Downtime to mentally prepare for the last 3 weeks of school & finals.
I couldn't agree more, sometimes a weekend away is the perfect medicine! And Whole Foods/GT's Kombucha doesn't hurt either :)

It is crazy eh Lisa- it is snowing here right now!!!
the 30 km race was a few weeks ago- I did fine. My running buddy hurt is IT so we walked about 3 of the last 5 km and did it is 3:13...... so I was happy. I dont run for time- but for the relationships. Time is not my motivatore. I am doing a half in two weeks.... havent ran far since the 30 km- so we will see how it goes.

ah thanks for reminding me that i had a homemade kombucha from the farmers market in the fridge. how did i forget? have you ever tried to make your own kombucha? i did once but my scoby got some weird spots on it and decided its best to try it again with a new scoby.
