Wait for it……..

Good things come to those who wait. Oh how this is the story of my life! The waiting period. It’s where God kinda leave you lingering. No, He never leaves you. In fact, He’s right by your side. But we must not rush things. There’s a purpose, oh goodness there’s a purpose.

Waiting periods result in a feeling of readiness, excitement, and a feeling of relief. They help us build character and confidence, that is if we allow them to. Allow that time to “take its course.”

Food-----> Good food has a waiting period.

So this is a different kind of WIAW but you get my drift here, right?

WIAWbutton

Homemade Pear Vanilla Protein Pops (recipe to come)

Frozen and Flavorful, worth the wait in the freezer!

P2090052P2100058

it was worth the wait for this happy face when they were done.

P2100056

The perfect (GF) bread and butter…….its worth the wait to oven bake.

The smell alone is worth the wait.

How about fresh basil/tomato on Gluten Free toast with melted butter?

Or wait a little longer, make it a little crispier…..

then the almond butter will melt right on along with the honey, yogurt, granola, date topping.

P2040035P2040036P2040037P2040039P2040040P2040043

And Kombucha?! You know this stuff has a waiting period. A BEAUTIFUL waiting period.

(kombucha tutortial #2 will be coming soon)

P2110072

P2110074

Brewing a batch from scratch and waiting for it to ferment feels good!

Feels like I am making use of this waiting period just buy letting it take its course.

Friends----> even friends have a waiting period

Because the time missed when you don’t seem them, make it even more special when you do.

I finally got to catch a bit with this GAL on her birthday. And lucky me, this GAL was there too.

P2110070

P2110071

please ignore the fuzzy pics, yes the camera just about out of juice,

but these snapshots could NOT wait to be taken. Haha!

Are you waiting to heal, to get stronger, to overcome a certain obstacle?

You’ll get there…..its only a matter of time. Winking smile

Cheers and thank you for WAITING on me these past few days!

LC

p.s.

As you can see I'm still waiting on the new site. Consider this my "blog in waiting." hehe.

i made HM GF bread this weekend and have been enjoying every last slice this week- all by myself.  the hubby is out of town so the homemade goodness has been mine and mine alone.  in fact, i think it's time to go make a sandwich now. :)

as for waiting, right now i'm waiting for the side effects of new medicine to go away so i don't feel like my heart is going to explode every time i exercise (side effect= elevated heart rate).  i'm so NOT patient- especially in the midst of a training cycle with a race 2 weeks away.

Your blog in waiting rocks my socks. I was excited about WIAW because I've been so curious what you eat for bfast ever since you said you weren't a carb person.

lindsay cotter said...

LOL! I do eat more carbs in the morning. haha. But i don't like just plain oats. Its gotta be half chia seed/oats and whey protein or cottage cheese. Thats kinda my fix.

Julia said...

you had my mouth watering with those pics!!!! YUM. can't wait to read more on the recipes :) i am terrible at waiting. haha. i am so impatient. but i try to remind myself that living up the present moment will make the thing I am waiting for that much sweeter. if I am dreading a wait...that is tough too but usually the same idea (living in the present) can help me appreciate the time now, rather than being so focused on the wait that I miss out on the time I do have. Thanks for a great post!

Such wise words, my friend! I needed this today. I've been waiting to heal since Monday...not too long in the grand scheme of things, but tough to swallow for this productive Bird. And I'm WAITING another month or so for my phone upgrade so I can have a functional phone again. :) I'm implementing my patience, and trusting God! Thanks for the great reminder. Love you.
