Good things come to those who wait. Oh how this is the story of my life! The waiting period. It’s where God kinda leave you lingering. No, He never leaves you. In fact, He’s right by your side. But we must not rush things. There’s a purpose, oh goodness there’s a purpose.
Waiting periods result in a feeling of readiness, excitement, and a feeling of relief. They help us build character and confidence, that is if we allow them to. Allow that time to “take its course.”
Food-----> Good food has a waiting period.
So this is a different kind of WIAW but you get my drift here, right?
Homemade Pear Vanilla Protein Pops (recipe to come)
Frozen and Flavorful, worth the wait in the freezer!
it was worth the wait for this happy face when they were done.
The perfect (GF) bread and butter…….its worth the wait to oven bake.
The smell alone is worth the wait.
How about fresh basil/tomato on Gluten Free toast with melted butter?
Or wait a little longer, make it a little crispier…..
then the almond butter will melt right on along with the honey, yogurt, granola, date topping.
And Kombucha?! You know this stuff has a waiting period. A BEAUTIFUL waiting period.
(kombucha tutortial #2 will be coming soon)
Brewing a batch from scratch and waiting for it to ferment feels good!
Feels like I am making use of this waiting period just buy letting it take its course.
Friends----> even friends have a waiting period
Because the time missed when you don’t seem them, make it even more special when you do.
I finally got to catch a bit with this GAL on her birthday. And lucky me, this GAL was there too.
please ignore the fuzzy pics, yes the camera just about out of juice,
but these snapshots could NOT wait to be taken. Haha!
Are you waiting to heal, to get stronger, to overcome a certain obstacle?
You’ll get there…..its only a matter of time.
Cheers and thank you for WAITING on me these past few days!
LC
p.s.
As you can see I'm still waiting on the new site. Consider this my "blog in waiting." hehe.

That GF bread looks soooo good! I'd definitely wait for it. :)
How fun getting to meet up with Allison! And sometimes the best things in life just take a little time.
I can't wait to see the recipe for those protein pops - they sound so darn refreshing!
Great post!!!! By the way, those protein popsicles look deelicious!!!
i'm waiting... and striving to have a healthy relationship with food. Your blog is inspiration for me, so thanks! <3
YOu are sooo close, so psyched for you!! Umm those recipes look great. i want them, especially the icepops
Yum! Everything looks so good! You are getting so close :).
oh man, pear vanilla protein pops! bread with almond butter, honey, yogurt and granola! can you feed me?
i made HM GF bread this weekend and have been enjoying every last slice this week- all by myself. the hubby is out of town so the homemade goodness has been mine and mine alone. in fact, i think it's time to go make a sandwich now. :)
as for waiting, right now i'm waiting for the side effects of new medicine to go away so i don't feel like my heart is going to explode every time i exercise (side effect= elevated heart rate). i'm so NOT patient- especially in the midst of a training cycle with a race 2 weeks away.
pear vanilla protein pops?! holy goodness. send me some? ...like, right now?
and the stomach with thank you for that too Jenn!! :)
Your blog in waiting rocks my socks. I was excited about WIAW because I've been so curious what you eat for bfast ever since you said you weren't a carb person.
LOL! I do eat more carbs in the morning. haha. But i don't like just plain oats. Its gotta be half chia seed/oats and whey protein or cottage cheese. Thats kinda my fix.

But that means there must be something awesome for me when my name is called.
PS- Love what you waited to eat Wednesday.

Love this theme and your pics and your foods, of course! We can wait for you of course!! As for me? I am WAITING TO MOVE! Almost there!!
Ahhhh I want the toastttttt!!!
you had my mouth watering with those pics!!!! YUM. can't wait to read more on the recipes :) i am terrible at waiting. haha. i am so impatient. but i try to remind myself that living up the present moment will make the thing I am waiting for that much sweeter. if I am dreading a wait...that is tough too but usually the same idea (living in the present) can help me appreciate the time now, rather than being so focused on the wait that I miss out on the time I do have. Thanks for a great post!
definitely healing, waiting for things to change, and TRYING not to be a whiney baby about it. ;) I'm pretty good most days. waiting. actively waiting.
that toast looks PERFECT. yum.
I feel like Im in a chronic healing stage, whether it be physical or mental. That recent race really threw me. Love those popsicles!! Wow!
I'm waiting for the recipe for the protein pops! Those look and sound fantastic.
Ohhh those protein pops look divine!! I can't *wait* for the recipe ;-)
Love the blog in waiting. I'm happily waiting for your new site...
I'm working on a kombucha tutorial post too. I'm happily waiting for yours....
I'm also (not so happily) waiting for some bizarre shoulder pain to go away...
I'll be right over to have one of those protein pops! And yes ma'am, I'm waiting on some things to change too, but they are already turning around, thank goodness! I MISS YOU, FRIEND! xo
Can't wait for the protein pop recipe!
i'm waiting for my tester pumpkin pie to bake in the oven. that sweet, sweet smell makes the wait worthwhile!
What perfect timing this post is! I am in a waiting period...waiting to not be single any longer. It's been getting me down lately, because I've been single my whole life, but I've realized that I have been able to grow my relationship with Christ much better during this waiting period :)
I can't wait for the kombucha tutorial :)
Eeeeee! I can't wait to see the new site! I tried to leave a "congrats on making the leap" comment the other day, but something went wonky and it wouldn't let me comment! I'm so excited for you! :)
Those protein pops look delicious! I'll be (im)patiently waiting for that recipe! Hope you're having a great week chickie!!
oh Julia, I totally understand. I know that this time has a purpose for you. And good things will come. Enjoy the present for now!

I've been waiting on you ; ) I do believe good things come to those who wait but sometimes the waiting can be pretty exhausting! Those popsicles sound nice and refreshing! Lets see...I've been waiting on the weekend! Ha!
Hugs Linds!
Sometimes I think life is one big waiting game! There have been times when I've been totally in limbo...but right now isn't so bad. I am waiting to move into my new place this weekend...I guess I could fill my time packing though!
I would have such hard time waiting for the bread, but it would definitely be worth it :)
The popsicles sound quite yummy and refreshing! Perfect for the hot weather we have been having
oh girl, its hot here too! 104F!! I live off these popsicles. Delicious. How are you!?

Such wise words, my friend! I needed this today. I've been waiting to heal since Monday...not too long in the grand scheme of things, but tough to swallow for this productive Bird. And I'm WAITING another month or so for my phone upgrade so I can have a functional phone again. :) I'm implementing my patience, and trusting God! Thanks for the great reminder. Love you.
You always say the right things. How do you know me so well? I am totally in that waiting period and it's not fun at all. I'm trying to be patient, but I'm really not good at that. I will keep trying for sure. Love your eats as always my friend. I hope you are doing well!
That bread looks so good! (With the almond butter etc.) I'm actually going to do a WIAW-ish post this week... but tomorrow lol
Thank you Linds! They are doing okay. I think my grandpa is in denial somewhat, but he goes in tomorrow to determine what stage his cancer is in.
I hear ya about the waiting. We're always waiting for something! I suppose it makes us appreciate things in such a fast paced world we live in. Pear vanilla protein pops sound so tasty! Looking forward to the recipe.
Yup, the good things in life are definitely worth the wait <3 Love this so much! And I love how time spent with special friends, even when you can only see them rarely due to distance etc., is very very precious....I love it when you can pick up right where you left off! xyx
are you going to show that paleo dish too? YUM! finally back from NY? hehe.

love this post, perfect timing to! I do feel I am in a waiting period right now, mostly with work related projects. but I am keeping my faith that it will all work out! and yes seeing old friends is worth the wait!! xoxo
So glad your back for a minute. :) The food looks scrumptious as always and this message is great. I find myself becomming incredibly inpatient with school but I know that it will be worth the wait and will open many opportunities for me down the road. Thanks for the reminder.
I feel as if we are in the same waiting period! I can totally relate. But good things are coming, keep that faith. Its inspiring!
