Honey of a Deal

Well guys and gals, we’ve made it another week and another month. To even think that’s it’s already April is kinda shocking to me. I feel like we need a “recovery” month just to keep up with all the hustle and bustle of the new year. We went from goal setting to Spring cleaning all within a blink of an eye.

That being said, maybe we do need a recovery month or maybe just a recovery weekend? After all, we did work hard last week with all our “Spring Cleansing,” right? hehe.

So go for it! I mean really, stop working this weekend. Step away from that overwhelming to do list just for a day. Relax, Rest, Slow down, and RECOVER.

I think the hubs does it well here…..haha!
2010 Rev 3 Quassy
Recover:  to get back : regain : to bring back to normal position or condition.

I’m all about regaining this weekend. Regaining sleep, regaining time with my husband, regaining good nutrition to keep this body nourished! You in?

Maybe a little “Recovery” giveaway will tempt you? Those for me! Especially on a Friday.
Quick, what’s your go to recovery drink/smoothie? I know we all have one or maybe two favorites. I’d have to say that one of my favorites to use “on the go” recovery drinks would be HONEYMILK (aka Athletes Milk). I love the Coffee flavor and if I can’t get home to actually make a smoothie, I definitely throw one of these in the car with me.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Can you tell I still hadn’t showered post trail run? Ya, that would be a shiny forehead!

So you want some? The good folks (Texas folks) are going to giveaway 3 cases. 3 cases!! That’s extremely generous, don’t ya think?

How to win:
  • MANDATORY- Go to their FB page and mention the Cotter Crunch giveaway along with one way you will choose to recover this next week or weekend.
  • Follow Honey Milk on twitter
  • Go to their website and tell me what flavor you’d like to try.
  • Oh feel free to tweet about it.
Even if you don’t win the 3 cases, you’ll stick get a 25% off code after the winner is announced next Friday. Again, that’s pretty generous!

Alright, Happy Friday…..time to recover.

Cheers!

This makes me giggle because on Castle they tease on of the cops because he makes a nightly mug of milk and honey for his girlfriend (who they call Honey Milk). :)

We are on a similar wavelength yet again, my friend. I'm all about recovery this weekend, recovering from germs, recovering from this "off" feeling I've since getting sick. Getting back to basic, back to me.

I'd love to try the HoneyMilk - especially the coffee flavor. Yum yum. Happy recovery weekend friend!

I think we all need a lake trip to recover. Sound good?

thanks to YOU this is one of my regular favorites!! Jason likes it too - I think being lactose free helps!

I definitely love to relax and recover with Jason on weekends - and we have that in the plans for sure, he has had a tough week. BUT... I am also energized today and I'm organizing, planning and cleaning. No blogging today (reading only!), goal setting for second quarter ( gaah - no longer an accountant but still plan like one!) :D

enjoy your recovery weekend! (I always love that tub photo!!)

And, I'm totally with you on "recovering" this weekend! Love the definition you gave. Weekends are a big time for me & my hubs to "regain" quality time together. We usually go on a long run on Saturday mornings and then spend some time just hanging out & catching up. Our fave recovery smoothies usually have protein powder, Amazing Grass, frozen banana, cinnamon, and some fruit. Yum!

Hope you have an wonderful weekend & feel refreshed in every area you mentioned!

HoneyMilk is awesome! I notice such as difference in my recovery when I drink one post-workout versus when I don't.

I love mixing flavors- like coffee and vanilla, or chocolate and coffee. I love the coffee flavor pre-workout too. What do you put in your smoothie that you make?

And I commented on the Facebook wall and follow HoneyMilk on Twitter. I'll use it after my workout tomorrow... and I'm also going to try ice baths this weekend... they are awful lol

Have an amazing weekend Lindsay!

I am definitely on the recovery bandwagon! It is so super important. Glad that you are emphasizing that :D

Kath (My Funny Little Life) said...

Oh, how much I wish I could stay away from work for a single weekend! But I have to finish the programming of my thesis study until the beginning of the next week, so I'm sitting inside in front of my laptop (with the most beautiful weather outside, gah), typing codes ... :( I'll include some recovery times in my day, though. This morning, I've already taken pictures of the flowers in the garden, I have half and hour of piano playing every now and then, and I'll for a walk or even a run later. And of course cooking and enjoying a nice meal can also be seen as recovery time. :)

Have a happy weekend!
