Going through the “e” motions

Thank you so much for supporting all my WISHES! It’s wonderful that this community can come together in a time of need. And really, the power of prayer is just AMAZING! so keep praying! Kath has continued with her solidarity posts so you must continue to check out more of her fabulous Japanese recipes and foods.

This week has been pretty emotional for a lot of people, myself included. There have been moments of sadness, mourning, fearfulness, but also moments full of hope, joy, laughter, encouragement, and inspiration.

With that being said, I am thankful. Thankful for going through the “e” motions and not just the motions. It makes us human, it makes us real, it makes us ALIVE!

I think this video says it all pretty vividly.
Beautiful song accompanied by equally beautifully photo's of people who take life all the way, truly inspiring.”

So I hope you find this post uplifting. It’s late Friday and we all need a break from the norm, from the stress, from the busyness that consumes us.

Stop and feel ALIVE!

Cheers to Friday!
LC
p.s
The hubs will be coming home this weekend from training camp. I am pretty sure he is going to be dying for some good home cooked meals, which means more fun recipes for me to make! YES!

In the mean time, I’ll just post pictures of my “child.” hehe!

And so true about going through life and all the emotions that come along with it; it really makes us who we are and helps with appreciating the little things more :)

Have a wonderful weekend friend!

Life is full of ups and downs, but being surrounded by people that care makes the good times more special and the bad times easier to get through. Life is too short and unpredictable to take any part of it for granted. I hope you have an incredible weekend with lots of laughter and joy !

I believe that life is totally about emotions - if you don't feel, your feel like dead (haha). Seriously, life is so plain and dumb if you don't feel anything, and everything seems to ack meaning, because nothing elicits a response inside of you, so nothing seems important anymore.

Thank you for the shout out again! :D

Aweeee girl!! My philosophy is you gotta let it out somehow, if you bury it down it just creates pressure like when you shake up a bottle of soda and it explodes. I love doing yoga, working out, cooking/baking/cleaning, and spending time with my girls to let it out. That's what friends are for! And that's what we are here for:) I love you girl, I hope you are feeling more sunshiney!!

I love that the "kid" gets to ride with Mommy and Daddy's spare running shoes and water-running belt. :D

Care to share what sorts of post-training camp TLC lies ahead? I mean recovery stuff, not personal stuff, of course... You've probably written tons about this already, right? Oh, the shame of the new reader! ;)

Happy week to you!

lindsay cotter said...

well, good thing you asked. We focus on a lot of fiber rich foods, green leafy
vegetables, fish, and eggs. Since last week he took in a lot of fuel in the
forms of simple sugars/electrolyte drinks, this week we focus on whole food
nutrition to make up for it lost during high intensity training. Does that make
sense? When your training for 5-6 hours a day, its hard to get real wholesome
food in for each meal. So recovery week is perfect for getting those key
nutrients in, in whole food base form. Okay, I could go on. I'll stop now. haha!
