Workin’ on it

I’ve been tagged in a few blogger surveys/awards lately. Thanks to Kristina and Matt!  I told them I was workin’ on it. That basically my plea for procrastination. I love reading these tags with everyone else’s blogs, its fun! But it when it comes to me, its too much thinking. Ha! Sad, I never really thought about this before. Time to stop, think, and WORK ON IT!

I’m going to combine these 2 awards so just hold your horses, k?

Four TV Shows I Watch
  • Wheel of Fortune (yes I confess my 80yr old behavior).
  • Modern Family
  • Friends
  • Parent Hood
Four Things I’m Passionate About
  • Supporting my hubs in his triathlon careers. And of course, feeding him (he’s gonna kill me for posting this!).OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
  • My family (like these cutie pies- nieces and nephew)EVhadleyOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
  • COOKING!!
  • Running and fitness (here’s a look at my favorite running path

  • eh?
  • You know….
  • Hey Friend
  • bugger! (not a good one, eek!)
Four Things I’m Looking Forward To
  • pushing publish on this post
  • Finally celebrating our anniversary (hello SUSHI)
  • Training camp back in Hawaii
  • Growing up…..oh wait, am I already doing that? I don’t feel like I am.  (pictures from our childhood-I’m the one in pink, the hubs is the blonde “babe” on the right.)untitled
  • jp young
Four Things I Love About Winter
  • Christmas
  • baking anything and everything
  • going to HOT YOGA just to get warm while stretching
  • cuddling up by the fire with tea or cocoa
And for the Stylish Blogger award, I’m gonna name one thing you don’t know about me.
  • I started living abroad in an international program when I was 12. I lived in Brazil, Quebec, Germany, and other places around Europe. Best time of my life!
Okay, now for some serious work……GET ‘ER DONE! Torture Tuesday was in Full Force yesterday!

My BF (balance & functional) workout

Warm up 10 minutes cardio
  • Single leg squat hops (20 on each leg)
  • Single Burpees (10 on each leg)
  • Single leg deep squat curl (12-15 on each leg)

Repeat 2x-3x
  • Commando Pushups (12-15)
  • 50 mt. climbers (total- 25 each leg up)
  • Plank Press (15 each side)

Cheers,

i am looking forward to that playlist. i need some new music for my workouts. but, i don't have extra cash to buy music right now. so, i will have to keep a playlist wish list going and then buy later! but, it's nice to get the list going.

AHHH!!! I love getting to know you better. K, it is official I am booking my flight right now to come run on that trail with you and then you can bake and cook for me. You have such a beautiful fam! Bugger ha! Love modern fam and friends....I could watch them all day long. I want to do hot yoga with you too.
GREAT workout you posted. I just love your workouts....should we all pay you for the personal training you do for us?

Don't be ashamed of Wheel of Fortune...when they put Jeopardy on at the gym, I swear my day becomes 100 times better. :)

Very cool that you lived abroad at such a young age... maybe that's why you're such a good cook - so many culinary experiences!

Sounds like a fun workout. Qs about exercises... what are single-leg deep squat curls and suicide get ups?

That is so cool that you have had all of those opportunites to travel. I wish that I have had them. I've never been out of the country. Sad :( Especially because I have family that lives all over the world!!!

Wheel of Fortune!! (insert eye roll) Girlfriend, you gotta step out more. Maybe Hollywood Sqares?? :) Love ur running path. Makes me miss Austin. Ok, commenting using a cell phone just plan sux! I hate the auto correct feature.

Dorry said...

I love Wheel of Fortune, too! We have some similar passions...but I already knew that. :)

When do you get to go back to Hawaii?! So exciting!

I actually like Jeopardy, so I think that makes me right with you in the 80 year old club. And I never can quite understand why everyone doesn't watch Modern Family. I am actually married to a younger version of Phil. I seriously think the writers are following Brad around for material.

It's so difficult to just focus and write out a list sometimes --- but I'm glad you did. I liked learning some more things about you.
As always, it's a pleasure to read your blog :)

I'm working on "building" an online course called Cultural Awareness in Health, and rather than taking the easy route (picking a text and planning the course after it), I decided not to use a text...so I have to come up with all the content and resources. #facepalm
Just like a workout that I am not looking forward to...I realize I will be glad I did it when it's finished!

(what runs) Lori said...

Damn! Nice workout! Not sure what suicide sit ups are but they sound awesome. I like pain and torture in my workouts. ;)

So... since you're a polished traveler and abroad-dweller, what other languages do you speak?

April said...

You were such a cutie!! And even then you had muscle! hehe :) Hey- where's the Middle on that list?? I just started watching Modern Family too- cute!!
