Make it or Break it

This past week has been challenging, but in a good way. It’s really drained me, its pulled me in all direction, and it has blessed me. Let me explain, I’m in the middle of the “holiday marathon” where you either make it or break it. You either give up, throw in the towel, and quit (due to fatigue, a little pain, etc.) OR………….. You persevere, you look at how far you’ve come, you look at how the people in your lives have given you such great encouragement, inspiration, and you can’t help but smile and thank God! Now, I’m not only talking about this holiday season, I’m talking about this past year. But when I look at how I want to celebrate the season, I think of these things and am THANKFUL!

Okay, the mushy part is over. I know I know, you wanted more but that’s all I can muster up at the moment, haha. Anyway, this post is meant to acknowledge those posts/bloggers/people who helped me "make it" this week. It’s the true #FF love (Blog style)!

“FF” LOVE by COTTERCRUNCH:

Made me feel so special- Janea HUNGRY RUNNER GIRL’s sweet package. She sent me a CD of great tunes for my fitness classes. I was so excited as you can see!

I am definitely overwhelmed with the holiday crazies right now, but not in a bad way! I am embracing each challenge as it comes, including baking for my classmates until 1 in the morning last night and praying to wake up rested this morning, and so far pretty good! :) I am motivated every day by my wonderful boyfriend, my incredibly awesome classmates, my lovely friends, and my super awesome blogger friends! I hope our relationship is able to progress to real life friends soon! Maybe after the holidays we can do a Whole Foods hot bar meet up? ;)

My kids motivate me! No, I don't have any of my own, but the ones I get to teach every day can usually make everything better. [When they aren't driving me crazy, of course. :)]

Wow his hair needs its own zip code! And what about the shaver- is that part of it too?

That's such a nice thing to do a #ff like this. I saw Spabettie's grapefruit recipe and Aprils bread. I'm about to make some white bean bread/cake from Allie at Pimpmyproteinshake and spunky coconut.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

I can say now that i persevered through a week (or month?) of craziness at work. but now, it'll ease up a bit and soon i'll be home with family! can't wait :)

Oh, my! Your hubs and mine have similar hair texture!! lol...Mine's is maybe a bit nappier and you might notice in the photo on my page that he keeps it shaved/buzzed. I can't imagine him growing it out. I saw the pics from the 90's and he had the shaved lines & puffy curls in the back look. Yours can pull this off. Hahahaha.. Do you like the look?

I am inspired by your food photos!

some motivation for the last bit of the "marathon"...one of my favourite running quotes.
---"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or gazelle - when the sun comes up, you'd better be running."---

Thanks for your kind words today. My week has actually been really hard, but I'm planning to persevere and conquer beginning in the morning!

He's looking a little bit like that Spenser-guy from The Hills, but much, much better looking!
