Revealing the Inner Beast!

Oh yes, I do have one (an inner beast) but that’s not what I am talking about today. I’ll save that topic for another day when the hubs can chime in, haha!
I’m talking about your inner SALAD BEAST creations. I don’t know about you but the COTTERS can make a BEAST of a salad. It’s a time to play with COLOR, with FLAVOR combos, and with of course PRESENTATION!
Salads can be seasonal, salads can be warm and comforting, salads can be crisp and refreshing, salads can be anything you want them to be! Now who said salads were boring??

Tell me…..do you make a MEAN SALAD BEAST?  The more ideas the better!
Now I must go prepare my Halloween Beast! Does candy corn count as a vegetable?

Winking smile
Cheers,

Those are some DAMN good looking salads!! I'm a big fan of avocado mixed in with fresh strawberries (or any other in-season berry like blueberries) with mixed greens, sunflower seeds and dressing. Awesome in the summer. In the fall? I like a good black bean and corn salad with onions, chopped eggs and other goodies. Oh I could go on and on! One I have not tried is the sweet potato in salad - suggestions there??

Haha I hate ordering salads at restaurants, because I'm always thinking I could have done it so much better at home! My favorite combo I do is essentially an Italian pizza salad with ground bison and spicy putanesca sauce!! Hahahahah annnd yes - a whole head of romaine.

Candy Corn is a FOOD GROUP!!! I love salads, but not whenever I make them. They taste so much better when someone else outs the work into them!

I love red onion, black beans, tomatoes, I don't discriminate against any veggie really:)

Candy "corn" -- totally a vegetable.

I love salad beasts! My key ingredients are beans of some sort, avocado and a scoop of hummus to mix it all together. Also love quinoa salads. Mmmm.

The sweet potatoes add an awesome look.

One of my favs: Spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, steamed brocc, quinoa, hard boiled egg whites, smoked salmon, dried cranberries, sun dried tomatoes, blackberries, avocado, balsamic vinagarette.

Is it lunch time yet!?!!?
