On a Whim

According to FreeDictionary.Com the definition of "on a whim" is 1. A sudden or capricious idea; a fancy. 2. Arbitrary thought or impulse. And that's exactly how the day went!

On a whim the hubs decided to race THIS RACE on Saturday and left at 4:30am this morning! (which means I was up late booking all this accommodations)- 4hrs sleep not good. eek!

On a whim I decided to more than just get highlights at my hair appointment today......BANGS! Do I look 5 years old? haha.
hello bangs?!?!

bye bye roots

On a whim I bought these even though I don't eat tofu.

On a whim I craved Pad Thai and combined my recently bought noodles with peanut flour, coconut PB, and Red chili flakes. Creamy goodness with kick!

looks horrible, taste delicous!

On a whim I opened up my bottle of Rose from Truett Hurst Winery (our favorite vineyard we visited in CA). I poured a glass and sat in my big comfy chair to blog.

On a whim I decided to do the Coconut Peanut Butter giveaway from Tropical Traditions.

To win:
1. leave a comment telling me anything you've done "on a whim."
2. Follow Tropical Traditions on Twitter (@troptraditions)
3. Tell me what you use the Coconut PB for?
4. Go to Tropical Traditions website and subscribe to their newsletter
Well, it looks like a solo weekend for me again, this calls for lots of baking!

Happy almost Friday!
Cheers,
LC

whoops- forgot to set an end date. The winner will be randomly selected this Monday Aug. 2nd. :)

On a whim I've chopped all my hair off and decided to run a half marathon the night before the race (I was already training for one several weeks later). I want to win so I can try this stuff. It looks amazing!

Woman! Making us work for that Coconut PB! ;) I'm game...

1) On a whim two years ago, I woke up feeling the need to get away from Atlanta for a vacation. Randomly chose Denver and went by myself for a week. Changed my life...the trip convinced me to move there!

2) Follow @troptraditions on twitter.... check

3) Uses: What couldn't I use this stuff for? Spreads on some rice cakes, making protein bites, granola, you name it!

4) Subscribe to TT's website newsletter... check

There! I toss my hat into this ring! :)

YOur hair is fabulous!! Beautiful! Well, on a whim I cut my very long hair up to my chin about nine months ago. It was my attempt to grow out some of the henna I had done. Oh, how I regret that oh the whim decision of mine! Oh well..it is growing. I'm a long hair kind of lady, for sure!

I would use the coconut peanut butter for baking raw desserts or simply put it in sandwiches..oh the possibilities are endless!

I was thinking I'd use the coconut PB on toast, but first, I think I'd copy your Pad Thai recipe! Also, it would make a heck of a peanut sauce.

Cute hair!!
Something I've done on a whim was to cut my hair super short... I ended up not liking it actually so now I'm letting it grow :)

Megan D said...

And I would use this on top of oatmeal or maybe to make some delicious granola bars/cookies!

Earlier this year, on a whim, I decided to take part in a cancer fundraiser where I shaved my head bald. Raised around $1200 though, so it was worth it!

Thanks for the great giveaway! 10 years ago, I decided to sell my car on a whim and move to NYC.Three days later my car was sold and by the end of the week NYC was my new home.

Coconut Peanut butter would be the perfect addition to my post run coconut water/peanut butter smoothie.

I'm following Tropical Traditions and subscribed to their newsletter.

Your haircut and color looks great! Such a great feeling to have a new do. :)

We do a lot of traveling on a whim - in Tahoe now because we found cheap airfare and we are staying with friends.

The bangs are so cute! I went really dark with my hair last week on a whim. It's still weird to look in the mirror.

Lindsay @ http://pancakesnpajamas.blogspot.com/ said...

I'd use coconut peanut butter in granola. I bet that would rock!

Sue said...

I've done that - cut off my hair on a whim. Yours is way cuter than mine was! I have driven to Arizona to visit my sister and her family on a whim...

Thanks for the giveaway.

Hi! I love your hair color! It is so vibrant; you look stunning! I make "Thai inspired" dishes ALL THE TIME using Davinci Sugar Free Coconut Syrup, chili flakes and any veggie I have! Love it! Love 'miracle noodles' or the house Tofu ones as well! So healthy! I use them for everything- quiche, kugel, latkes, spaghetti, fettucini, primavera, sweet desserts etc! Currently would love to sautee them with some chicken breast strips, chili flakes, low sodium soy, Walden Farms SF coconut, a splash of cottage cheese and spices! YUM!
