Just "Dilly Dallying" Around

Did your mom ever say this to you? "Stop DILLY DALLYING AROUND!" Well, I got that a lot so when I made this dish, I couldn't stop laughing and thinking about my childhood. Ohhhh....the memories. Funny thing is, now I tell the hubs to stop "dilly dallying around!" Must run in the family. ;)
Anyway, now to the recipe. I thought about this all day, yes I am that dorky. But the hubs was finally home and I couldn' wait to cook for him.  Lindsay at Pancakes and Pajamas said the same thing. "Foodies" get excited over the smallest things just because its food related. I get excited for food and creating FLAVORS! YEA!

Dilly Nut-Top Burger

Ingredients:
1/2 cup almond meal
1 egg
1 tbsp Dill weed
1 tbsp Peanut Flour (you can use garbanzo flour/meal as well)
sea salt
black pepper
1 tsp of garlic
(This coats 2 medium Chicken burger)

Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together then add in egg and lightly beat. This will make a very "gritty" batter. Coat each burger top and sides. Place them on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 350 then broil for the last 3-4 minutes.

They are very crusty and goes great with special sauce on top (aka KETCHUP)! We placed them on toasted GF tortillas with lettuce to make them extra crunchy. Weird combo but trust me, its good!

OPTIONS: Nix the Dill and make them spicy, add cayenne pepper or curry. Endless possibilities!

PAIRING: Enjoyed our meal with our local, yes LOCAL Grape Creek Cabernet Trios. Mildly sweet red grape that goes well with chicken and herbs like DILL.

Do you drink wine with burgers? Gourmet burger only, haha. Don't think I could sip on a glass if I had a big juicy cheeseburger for dinner. That calls for a beer, gluten free of course!

Well, I'm glad to have my hubs home for a while. Gonna go catch up now.
Cheers!

LOL - I haven't heard dilly dallying in a long time. I do indeed drink red wine with my veggie burgers. Reds go nicely with lentils ;-)
