Smirk

It’s the little things that are making me “smirk” today. A feeling of content even though we’re still so unsure of plans. But that is neither here nor there. I’m focusing on the feeling.

I smirk because it’s Friday!

I smirk because I love my husband
DSCF0895

I smirk because the pups thinks she’s “too cool for school”
and has to be the leader our walks.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I smirk because I am clueless about technology (but I’m learning).

I smirk because I know its WINE Friday!
DSCF0890

smirk because I know GOD is doing his Thang and I just gotta roll with the punches.

I smirk because I’m a little tired from the 4am wake up call.

I smirk because my Kombucha obsession is kinda ridiculous.
(I brew it, I buy it, I love it!)
P2140093
(day 5 of the home brew)

P2140083P2140091

I smirk because I am also sending the hubs off to his race in
 style this weekend (Timberman 70.3)
P2140092

I smirk because I’m sending him off well feed and fueled!
P2140101P2140106
I smirk because I’ll be posting this recipe (Flourless Nuttzo Protein Cookies)…. …..soon!

I smirk because I am finally posting the Vanilla Pear Pops recipe.
P2090053P2090055
and it’s just SO EASY!

Vanilla Pear Pops

  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (I used goats milk or full fat greek)
  • honey or agave nectar (optional)
  • handful o ice
  • 6oz almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (I used NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia)
P2140098
Blend all together until smooth. Pour into popsicle cups and freeze.
P2100056
Go ahead and “smirk” while you enjoy this!

What are you smirking at today?
Cheers,
LC

Happy Weekend :)

Im smirking because I get to see college friends tonight and hear about two of my friends trip to Kenya they had this summer. Im smirking because I ran a mile and a half this morning. Im smirking because I know that God's plan for my life is bigger than what I want for myself.

I smirk because I seriously view the world like a five-year-old sometimes...but that makes everything seem wonderful! :)

So cute - love this. And my Maddie thinks she's too cool for school over everything LOL. I'm smirking because it's Friday!!!

Ha!  I also smirk at my lack of knowledge in technology.  I'm clueless.  Learning, but slowly. :-)

Okay, there is more behind this smirk of yours! What secret do you have my dear? Whatever it is, it has to be great :) And those protein cookies? NEED that recipe, they look delish! I smirk because I move in 7 days!! :)

I am with you on smirking about my lack of technology -- I was trying to help my mom resize a photo a few days ago and I'm sure Jason would have shuddered had he seen what we had tried!

I smirk because it is almost the weekend and I'm thinking of something fun to do.

Good luck to James! Love the shirt :)

Sable@SquatLikeALady said...

Haha! You are MILES ahead of me on the technology thing don't you worry.

So. Yesterday I got a phone call...that job I blogged a bout? That is personal assisting a local business owner who also happens to publish a magazine (with which she wants help from said personal assistant)? I got it. :) You were totally, 100% right. Everything happens for a reason.

Lisa J said...

that is the exact stevia i use so i will have to try these pops!

Basil = also too cool. he literally struts. (he was too distracted to strut when you saw him, though...)  :)   I'm smirking because I have some FUN coming up in the next few weeks, and tomorrow summer begins - our first 90 degree day! weee!

Mamarunsbarefoot said...

Ok that's cool! Making your own Kombucha! Is there nothing you don't do :)

Your smirk makes me smirk. I just read an article today about people who've lived over 100. This little old lady said, "I don't worry. If I can't change it, I put it out of my mind." Word! Keep smirkin', Lindsay!

Good luck to the Hubs this weekend!

Missy said...

I'm smirking because there are some words that when you say them -- the more you say them the weirder they become. Even in your mouth the word becomes quite odd. Liek you are not sure if you are even spelling it correctly.
Ever have that happen? I'm smirking because you just did that to me for the word smirk. Smirk. Smirk. Smirk.
Smirk.
Smirk.

lindsay cotter said...

LOL! that happens to me ALL THE TIME! Glad I am not along here. By the way, doesn't the word smirk make you picture smirfs? just me here?

How in the world are our lives so paralleled? I got up at 3:40am to send Tony off this morning. I'm not really smirking right now. I'm confused by so much. Things are happening that I wish would have happened 4 months ago and now I'm more overwhelmed and confused than when I started. UGH! I hope you have a great weekend my friend. Good luck to the man!

There are SO many good things to smirk about in this post!  I love your kombucha obsession. It's because of you that I too am ridiculously obsessed. Last night I tried a ginger-pineapple version that was to-die-for delicious! And goodness gracious, I love those flourless Nutzo cookies! But what I'm loving most is your trust in God to do his thang. :) Hope you have a beautiful weekend, Lindsay! <3
