Chaos Contained

I am a bit all over the place at the moment. But I like to think I am chaos contained. That makes sense right? Let me explain…

I’m still in the process of moving sites so I am posting here while working on the other site and confusing the heck out of everyone at the same time. haha, at least I keep you on your toes, right?
The hubs has changed his race schedule about 5 times already. Which means one minute we’re going to Vegas for  world champs, the next minute we’re not. Or maybe we’re going to a different race??? Who knows!

I’ve been subbing for a co-worker who went out of town last minute to China (who does that?).  I had no idea she left until I got a text message saying she needed coverage. By the time I called her she was already on the plane, hahaha! Classic. I probably would have done the same thing. So I rearranged my schedule a bit to get things covered. It all worked out just fine. But probably not my best “prepared” classes.

I totally forgot to send out a new flavor of the month for Healthy Bites. But oh well, that’s the least of my worries. I’ll get it done…..in September.

I’m thinking Banana Chocolate Chip!!!  See Below.
P2180119P2180120P2180121P2180122
That’s a lot of flavor CHAOS CONTAINED in one bite. Love it!

And to keep things rollin here….lets throw in a workout.

CHAOS CONTAINED CIRCUIT

Be sure to do a light warm up before hand.
  • 10 side to side burpees
  • 10 alternating reverse lunge to front kick (10 each leg)
  • 10 squat curl presses
  • 10 plank in and out hops (hold plank and hop feet in then out wide, repeat)
  • 5 ten seconds sprints (5-10 seconds rest between). You can do this on bike, track, elliptical, etc.
  • 10 woodchops on each side with med ball.
  • 10 dips on bench or unassisted dip machine.
REPEAT UNTIL TOTAL FATIGUE!!

I won’t even tell you how many rounds we got through. It was chaos!
But a good sweaty chaos!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
How many rounds do you think you can do?

Tell me your chaos and how you contain it……cause I know you’re bad ass like that. Winking smile

Cheers for now,
LC

p.s.
Thanks for the all the wonderful cheers this past weekend. The hubs placed 4th at Timberman 70.3. I know he was aiming for top 3 but we’ll take it! Moving onward and upward!

Congrats to James on his race that's wonderful!

LOVE the workout, that is definitely going on my must do list! :)

So if you could start selling your healthy bites in the New England area I would much appreciate it. As would all of New England :D

oh I am working on it! I just need a good investor, haha. Then I am all over selling in NE!

First, congratulations to your Husband! 4th is quite impressive :)
You are doing fabulous with all of the chaos, I would be a hot mess, but then again I don't deal with stress very well... working on that for sure!

Mamarunsbarefoot said...

I can't eve respond because I've got your banana chocolate chip bites on the brain now..

First, congrats to your husband, well done!! (even though I totally sat in the traffic of people coming back from that on my way home from Maine! haha!) Chaos. Yeah, I feel ya on that. My place and M's looks like a freaking bomb hit it and I am about to have a nervous breakdown ;-) Embrace the mess maybe?? That a way to contain it? And I SO wish I could take one of your classes!! Maybe If I get my butt down to Austin I can... :)

Teabagginit said...

Those bites look delicious! And speaking about bites, that's how I deal with chaos - make lists, order importance & take it all in one bite at a time! Makes it all seem much more manageable & plus, I love crossing things off the list!

congrats to the hubs!  i know he has been working so hard for a good placing!  love this post....most of the time at ork i am living chaos contained!  love the banana chip balls idea!  yum.........have a great day my fiend :)

Woohoo on the hubby's 4th place. That's pretty awesome in my book! And I hear you on chaos. That workout looks pretty badass my dear. I hate burpess by the way. But love doing lunges and squats with kicks. I'm sick like that ;-)

Heather @ Dietitian on the Run said...

Ha, your face always says it ALL ;) I'm not sure I could survive ONE round of that workout right now, but I'd love to try!

My chaos...oh man, where do I start? Focusing on getting through these next two weeks. That is currently the only way to contain the chaos!

Congratulations to your husband!  That's awesome!  It sounds like things are pretty crazy for you...I personally like it when things are that way.  It keeps life interesting!  :)

Kristina @ spabettie said...

congrats to James on the race!  my chaos - *sigh* I was commenting on this just yesterday on Dorry's post - my schedule is SO crazy right now, and when I look ahead at all the extras (all great stuff!) I feel overwhelmed. my answer is to have it all handwritten out on a calendar, in addition to my mobile calendars...  that helps me see it ALL at once, and find the gaps for some downtime...

banana chocolate chip - YUM

You are doing great at juggling, my dear! I don't know how you do all that you do and still with that gorgeous smile on your face! you totally inspire me to smile more, grin and enjoy the ride more, etc. Annnnd everytime I see a pic of a new healthy bite, it reminds me I MUST make an order soon!!!

Molly Mcnamara said...

Haha, that makes me think of "mischief managed" from Harry Potter :)

4th is pretty good for his comeback race, the next one will be even better!

Rachelle Wardle said...

Life would be so boring without chaos!!  I am glad you have it contained. :)  I could maybe make it through half of that circuit. he he I need to work on my strength Lindsey.  All of this running turns me into a wuss when it comes to strength training.  Congrats again to the hubs!!

lindsay cotter said...

oh I like your style. Such a list crosser. Nice! Feels good to do that, eh?

So glad the chaos is diminishing a bit and that James had a great race!  I can relate, sometimes the chaos is well contained, other times not so much!

Dorry said...

Love the concept of chaos contained. I can definitely relate. :) Glad we got to talk yesterday - could talk to you for hours! And proud of James for placing 4th - that's really amazing. Banana chocolate chip healthy bites sounds like the most appealing flavor to me so far - delicious!

Sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes it is bad: I can bottle up my emotions/feelings for a very long time, so I'm ok with chaos for a while, and then it all comes out (usually in the form of tears!)

Congrats to your hubby on placing 4th!!!

lindsay cotter said...

thats what I am afraid of......burst! Gotta be aware of it. phew! thanks Holly!

i understand, sister! i keep dreaming that one of these days i am going to reach THE END of my to-do list and then will be stress-free. funny i know , but it is amazing that i keep trying; every time the other half is out for awhile, i tell myself that by the time he gets home, i will have it all done so i can chill out with him. it has yet to happen, but i do believe multi-part to-do lists help keep the chaos slightly contained.

Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) said...

Oh lady, I'm sorry for all the craziness! I can't even begin to tell you how many rounds I can take since I'm still currently chin deep in it. I hope things settle down a little bit for you soon! Have a great night Lindsay!

So proud of James. As for chaos, I contain it by doing little things. I try to always know what the fundamentals are, what I have to do in order to be safe and healthy. After that, I do the things that make me crazy if they aren't done. After that, it's all extra.
