HEATING things UP….

After 6 hours in the car we made it to Lubbock, TX.

It's flat, dry, and tiny bit warm…..(did we take a wrong turn to AZ?)

The local people are great, the race directors and crew are great, the weather on race day……..
NOT so great.

oh the joys of Lubbock, TX. My dad lived there for a few years--nothing too exciting. Although, there is a hole in the wall breakfast place that serves delicious sweet potato pancakes!

Yowza!  I don't know how you guys do it in the heat and make it look so easy.  I would be dead!  Good luck to your hubs tomorrow.  I will definitely be thinking about him.

I went to college in Lubbock and while I loved it for college, I didn't stay once I finished. I hope the hubs does well tomorrow! Even though it'll be HOT, at least it's not humid!

Yowzers on the heat. I won't complain that it was only 97 here today. ;-)

It's so fun to hear your voice, Lindsay! However I have to agree with Christine--James' voice is so soft...I want to hear that Kiwi accent too! :).

Sending you lots of luck for the big day tomorrow! I'm currently in San Francisco, where it's barely 50 degrees, so I'll do my best to send some cool air your way (in exchange for some heat!). :) xoxoxo

I can't imagine what it must be like to compete in those temperatures...I wilt in the heat even in the early morning when it's only about nineteen degrees celcius over here.

Good luck and please take care!
