Digging Deep (Unveiled)…..

So I thought long and hard about what this title should be. In fact, maybe a little too hard. But the point is, these pictures cannot be put into words. I asked you all (in this post) to send me some pictures of your HEART and SOUL. I asked you to DIG DEEP and look into what really made you alive, what made you thankful, what made you……. YOU!!!

The response I got left me in tears, tears of JOY! In fact, I could not stop talking about it to the hubs. He said he could tell in my voice how privileged I felt to”know” you all. And I do, I feel privileged and I feel blessed. So time to stop my rambling and show you some HEARTS and SOULS!

Jess from Blonde Ponytail

“Husband + Cooper + Mother Nature = Happy Soul and Heart”
cabin

Emma from Sweet Tooth Runner

“I often use running as a time of prayer- especially in my long runs it’s nice to have some time with just me and God. And in the Bible it says that whatever passions we have in life, we should dedicate them to God. So that is what I try to do every time I lace up my running shoes.”

Kristina from Spabettie

I used to play and teach tennis, and wanted to do so professionally, so that is still a big thing to me - I photographed my racquets just this afternoon, then went out to the courts near our house and hit against the wall.” <3

“Creativity includes cooking and painting - I went to art school for 2 years before college, and my FOCUS was watercolor.” <3

“My loved ones - Jason, of course - we were at a party to benefit one of the BurningMan camps (another place close to my heart!!), and my brother and good friend in the other.” <3

Leslie from Mommys Going for a Run

“This picture brings me joy. My husband took it, and you can see the love for her daddy on my daughter's face. It was the first warm spring day in North Texas, and there's nothing better than warm sunshine, beautiful spring grass, a new rope swing, and daddy-daughter fun. This is my heart and soul.”

IMG_0078

“I think it is so important to look at all aspects of life and see how we can improve.
This is what you could see if you looked at MY heart.”

my heart

In search of her heart- “I went out with my family to my FAVORITE part of London, Brick Lane in the east... it is so so artsy and unique- My dad took this picture of me with a really neat graffiti drawing in the background.. in this area, there are tons of really famous graffiti artists and it was just so COOL to walk around this funky part of London in great weather- I loved it!”

Dorry from Living with a Healthy Hunger

How she re-focused her heart and soul – “I set out on my bike Friday afternoon not knowing exactly what I was looking for, but just knew I needed to go. I even thought maybe I'd just take a photo of anything purple in honor of my marriage, but God had another plan.  I saw white crosses in several front yards in my neighborhood. I was reminded of the Easter season.”

I hope that in the midst of your “busyness” you are able to stop and reflect on this today.

Cheers to Spring and New Beginnings!
