Fighting with Food

No, I am not actually food fighting, although it would be fun! I'm fighting this darn cold/sinus infection with HEALING foods. I think I was concentrating on keeping the hubs germ free and recovered in between race weeks that I forgot to take a rest day myself. EEK! Do as I say, not as I do, right?
Needless to say, I am fighting this "thing" with healing foods.

Apple Cider Vinegar with Lemon and Honey for the throat
Zicam for my allergies and congestion
Alive Tablets for an extra does of whole food nourishment plus vitamins and minerals.
Cocoa Amazing Grass SuperFoods to pump up my immunity as well as get my probiotics.

Green Tea and Lemon Ginger for antioxidants and to soothe the sore throat some more!

Cantaloupe for hydration and Vitamin C

Bora Bora BlueBerry Flax bar for more more more ANTIOXIDANTS!!

Geeze, do you think thats enough?!?! I sure hope so. Tonight we had a big bowl of this....

With a little extra Thai spice. Maybe this will help me to sweat it out. haha!

Wanna know more about healing foods? Foods that heal bloating, colds, flu, constipation, acne, etc?
Check out this awesome blog. http://healingwithfoods.blogspot.com/. It has such great information!
What are your favorite foods remedies?

Rest up, eat up, drink up.....taking my own advice here.

Cheers,
LC

Not a food but my allergist told me to start taking Mucinex at the first sign of a sinus infection and it works, has saved me from a full-blown sinus infection many times!
