Take a Guess

So last night I got a little break from cooking, well kinda. My good friend Molly (owner of Vanilla Orchid Catering) was kind enough to give us some good "leftover food." We got to taste her Black Bean and Duck Soup and let me just tell you, IT WAS DA BOMB!! She an amazing chef and is finding ways to re-create foods to make them healthier for her clients.


Anyway, in order to complete this meal, I baked some chicken and added a little vegetable pilaf. Can you guess what this is?? Hint: there is no rice or grain in it.


I took a big bunch of my husband favorite veggie (the Brussel Sprout) and diced in the food processor. Then threw it in the skillet with a little balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and nutritional yeast. I call  it my LOAD of BS (Brussel Sprouts) Pilaf, haha. It was YUM! What a meal! Lots of flavor and goodness. Thank you Molly!

And on another note....Happy Humpday and St. Patty's day. WOO HOO! Are you wearing your GREEN? I know we will be having some Guinness or maybe some Guinness stew. Cheers!

And I'm not wearing green, nor do I like beer...it's a good thing I'm not Irish!!!

What a neat dish!! I love using cauliflower and other random veggies for things like fake potatoes!

The only way I can drink Guiness is in an Irish Car Bomb. None of those for me tonight though!

My husband's favorite veggies are brussel sprouts too! Too funny...it's the veggie most people hate.

Nice post for protein but The food we eat on a daily basis does not provide enough nutritional replacement to rebuild the torn down muscle of a daily workout routine. Therefore, without a replacement program like the daily intake of a whey protein isolate type product, days will have to pass after a workout to allow for muscle to rebuild before working out again.
